Information we collect
First, the enquiry form asks for your name, phone number, postcode and the kind of help you need. It also asks for an address, which is required on the home page form and optional elsewhere. Besides these, an email address and a short note are optional.
With each enquiry we also store the page the form was sent from, your IP address and your browser's user agent. However, please do not give medical history, payment details or other sensitive information. As well, Cloudflare may create technical security logs when you use the site.
Why we use it
Mainly, we use your details to review your enquiry and pass it to that company so it can respond. Because of this, we ask for as little as we can. Also, the form has no consent box.
Storage and deletion
For storage, we keep enquiries in the website operator's enquiry database, which uses Cloudflare D1. Then an alert email with the enquiry goes to the operator's lead inbox through Cloudflare's email service.
We do not use form data to build advertising audiences. In addition, only authorised people can see your enquiry.
Sharing
The form adds your enquiry to the website operator's enquiry database. Then we pass your enquiry to our referral partner, JustHire, so a UK pest control company that covers your area can contact you about an inspection or treatment.
We may receive a fee for passing on an enquiry. Still, it never changes what our guides say. That company is a separate business and is responsible for its own handling of your details once it has them.
The form has a Find address button. When address lookup is switched on, it sends only your postcode to the address-lookup provider getAddress.io, to list matching addresses. Of course, you can always type your address instead. The operator manages our own later handling.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which guides help. It is therefore off until you click Accept on the cookie banner. Also, by default, Consent Mode v2 sets analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied.
After you accept, the Google tag loads. Then it sets the _ga cookie and a _ga_ container cookie. Google documents that these last up to 2 years, as its cookie usage documentation explains.
We use no advertising features. Besides, you can change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer. Our cookie statement has the full detail.
Your choices
You may ask the website operator to find, correct or delete an enquiry. To do this, use the contact page and give your name, phone number and roughly when you sent it.
This website is operated by Bedbugs Are Us. Because we do not publish an email address or phone number, please contact the operator through the contact page.
