Where steam can help
Steam works best where you can move the machine slowly and safely along a seam, an edge or a crevice you can reach. It is a physical method. So it does not rely on how a bug reacts to a chemical.

Equipment and technique matter
The temperature on the machine is not the heat the target surface gets. Flow, nozzle shape, distance and speed all change the result. Too much pressure can also scatter bugs or debris instead of treating the spot with care.

Protect the property

Steam can work alongside vacuuming, containment, residual products, encasements and monitoring. Ask how each part fits what the inspection found. Steaming random visible surfaces can waste time, because the bugs may carry on elsewhere.
